We are often asked what type of structural services we provide.  The following is a quick summary:

Preliminary Options: The key to any successful project is understanding options long before they are built or even designed.  We can assist you during preliminary planning and programming to help you understand and implement the best structural solutions for your project.  With decades of experience in seismic design we can help you navigate through the complexities of building codes in order to choose a system that is right for the project.

Design/Analysis: We use state of the art software and analysis packages, including in-house tools specifically developed to create economical designs in a quick and accurate manner.  All our designs are aimed to meet current building codes along with the often more subtle jurisdictional amendments.

REVIT / BIM: We use Revit on 100% of all our projects no matter how big, or how small.  We have been using it as our sole production tool since 2008 and are experts on it’s implementation.  If you are an avid Revit user, or just starting out know that we have you covered every step of the way.

Construction Administration: This phase of services is of high priority to us.  We feel that being involved with the construction process and having a great relationship with the contractors builds team collaboration and ultimately a great building.  We do our best to answer RFI’s, submittals, and inquiries the same day, but more often within minutes.  We pride ourselves on being more responsive than any engineering firm you have ever worked with….and we think our contractor clients agree.

“We have been working with the talented group of engineers at Structural Design Studio for the past 8 years.  In that time we have developed a close working relationship that provides us with confidence and trust in the engineering of every project.   Structural Design Studio has met our design schedule on every project, and have always delivered a solid set of drawings accurately coordinated in BIM.  In addition, the structural engineering has included cost effective systems and solutions, providing added value to the owner.”  -Sparano + Mooney Architecture
